ESC - Eden Synthetic Corps are an Harsh Electro-Industrial band from Leiria - Portugal, formed in 2005. It's line-up consists of Hypecrash (Keyboards and Programming), Glamour Diesel (Vocals and Programming), IDK (Vocals) and Chainheart (Keyboards and Programming). Shortly after their birth, they signed with the renowned German label Dark Dimensions / Scanner. In 2006, they released their first album "Matte” that turned out to receive excellent reviews and feedback from all the international alternative community, reaching the 13th place at the DAC (Deutsche Alternative Charts). Ever since the beginning, ESC tried their best to create their own identity and a unique sound that would sound different from a scene where hundreds of clones exist. In 2008, they released "Enhancer", a concept album portraying the story of a serial killer, dominated by dark and temperamental moods and featuring an artwork which was considered by many people at the press and general public as one of the best among the genre. Just like their debut album "Matte", this second work also received excellent reviews and feedback from the international press (Orkus, Sonic Seducer, Zillo, Gothic, Rock Oracle, etc.) and reached the DAC, peaking at position 9. "Eight Thousand Square Feet" is the name of ESC's third album, released in May 2010. In this album, ESC were honored by the presence of some very special guests like Carsten Jacek from [:SITD:] on the song "Leitbild" and Jan L. from X-Fusion/Noisuf-X on the song "Le Voyage D'Ivoire Sophisme". Just like "Enhancer", this is also a concept album featuring a comic-book styled artwork in a luxurious digipak packaging and portraying a mansion with Eight Thousand Square Feet, where the story of a man who is confronted with his dark past as soon as he enters that house takes place. Widely considered as the most intense album from the band until today, with deep pounding beats, strong atmospheres and punching vocals, "Eight Thousand Square Feet" reached the 3rd Position at the DAC and held the position for 8 consecutive weeks. Once again, the feedback and reviews were nothing but mind-blowing and beyond the band's own expectations. The band is now working on their fourth album that is starting to sound like nothing they have done before and taking ESC's uniqueness as a band even further, getting them to play in events like Cyberfront in Kiev-Ukraine and Wave Gotik Treffen 2011 in Leipzig-Germany.
